G4 is dead. Finally.

Adam Sessler recently left G4.  As much as I respect him and think that he was really what kept that shithole afloat, I was sure that him leaving wouldn't kill them.  Kevin Pereira, however, will.  He has announced that after E3 he will be leaving.  Maybe there is a God after all....

For years I have railed on about how shitty G4 is and about how it is pandering to stupid fucking assholes.  This could easily be a death blow for them.  While it might sound weird that someone who loves gaming so much is cheering for G4 to die, you have to understand how shitty they are.  G4 generally shows 16 hours of infomercials and Cops or Campus PD.  Another 2 hours is devoted to past shows that may or may not have been good.  Two more hours highlight everything that is wrong with gaming.  The final 4 hours contain content that might be relevant.... if you played on a console.  So, basically, the network is shit.

G4 went from having tech-driven shows to shows about shitty pop culture.  They went from having 4-man LAN competitions hosted by guys who looked like they were on steroids to the endless cycle of Cops.  They lost out on many talents over the years from ditching some of the good TechTV shows to basically shitting all over the Screensavers.  What a fucking nightmare.

A lot has changed in game, and a lot has change in G4.  I guarantee that in the next year they will close their doors.  With the face of the franchise walking away and the brains behind everything leaving before him.... oh man!  It's fucking over!
